Ryan Larose is an Associate Attorney at Tom Anelli & Associates, where he focuses on criminal defense cases across the Capital Region. With over ten years of experience in the field, Ryan has a deep commitment to advocating for individuals facing serious legal challenges. Before joining the team at Tom Anelli & Associates, Ryan spent several years as an Assistant Public Defender at the Albany County Public Defender’s Office, representing clients in felony cases where the stakes were often ten years or more in prison. He also worked at the New York State Board of Elections in the Division of Election Law Enforcement, where he coordinated criminal investigations and pursued financial penalties against corrupt politicians and organizations. Ryan’s extensive background includes working in public defender’s offices across multiple counties, giving him a wealth of experience in criminal defense. Ryan is committed to providing the best possible defense to each client, using his experience and passion for justice to help them through difficult times.
A native of Horseheads, NY, Ryan earned his undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo, where he double majored in Political Science and Business Administration. He graduated with Departmental Honors in 2008. Ryan went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo Law School in 2011, where he honed his skills in legal analysis and advocacy.
Outside of work, Ryan is an avid soccer player and a loyal Liverpool FC fan. Traveling is another one of Ryan’s favorite pastimes, as well as hiking with his dog, Zizou. In his free time, Ryan volunteers with the Legal Aid Society’s Pro Bono program, representing tenants facing eviction.
